(Reuters) – Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the British computer system scientist who was knighted for inventing the web navigation system regarded as the Planet Wide World wide web, would like to re-make cyberspace the moment yet again.
With a new startup identified as Inrupt, Berners-Lee aims to deal with some of the issues that have handicapped the so-called open net in an age of big, shut platforms such as Facebook.
Setting up on suggestions made by an open-supply software program task identified as Sound, Inrupt claims a net where by people can use a single sign-on for any provider and individual data is saved in “pods,” or own on the net info suppliers, managed by the consumer.
