(Reuters) – The Indian govt has permitted Chinese telecom enterprise Huawei Technologies Co to participate in trials for 5G networks, a firm spokesman stated on Monday.
India’s nod to Huawei arrives at a time when the world rollout of 5G know-how has been challenging by U.S. sanctions from the enterprise. The United States has been lobbying allies not to use Huawei’s network devices in their 5G networks.
